Love Island USA's Titi Davis is still in the villa as a resurfaced 2018 restraining order fuels a removal rumor

If you have spent any time on Love Island USA X this week, you have seen the claim: Tierra "Titi" Davis, the Casa Amor bombshell who blew up KC and Aniya's couple, got kicked out of the villa over a resurfaced restraining order. Half of that is a real story. The other half is a fan account making things up.

Here is what actually happened, in order.

The receipt TMZ pulled

On June 29, TMZ reported it had obtained a civil harassment restraining order filed against Davis back in 2018, when she was 17. The person who filed it was Shayla Woodard, then 16, a former classmate, and per the filing the whole thing started over a shared ex-boyfriend.

According to the court documents as reported by TMZ and laid out by Distractify, Woodard said Davis began harassing her by phone on Oct. 2, 2018, telling her she would "find" her. E! News quoted the filing directly: "she kept telling me she would find me. I guess she was right because when she did, and after the assault on me, she threatened to shoot me next time." Distractify reported the filing alleged Davis showed up with pepper spray, hit Woodard on the face, arms and upper body, had brass knuckles on her, and that it happened at the Culver City Metro Station.

Two things get skipped in the viral version, and both matter. These are allegations in a filing, not a conviction. And a judge granted a temporary restraining order in October 2018, then the case was dismissed that December.

Woodard is not fanning any flames either. She told TMZ she had no idea Davis was on Love Island, holds no hard feelings, and wishes her well.

The part that is not true

Then the internet did what the internet does. One post went around claiming Davis has "two restraining orders against her for domestic violence and harassment." Reality Shrine (The Tab) went digging on the "two restraining orders" line and knocked it down. There is one filing, from 2018, and it was dismissed.

A separate fan account posted on June 30 that "TIERRA DAVIS has been removed from the villa," which is where the whole "Titi got kicked off" story came from. The Tab pointed out that the same account has posted bogus Casa Amor scoops before, that neither Peacock nor the show has confirmed anything, and that Davis is still in the villa and still turning up in episodes. So the removal is a rumor with no receipt.

Why this one was so easy to believe

The removal rumor spread fast because Season 8 has actually been doing this. Days before the Davis filing surfaced, the show removed Alannah Keyser after an old video of her using a racial slur went around, which BCN wrote about last week. Distractify notes Keyser's exit followed Vasana Montgomery, who was cut before the season even aired. Fans saw a third name with old baggage and assumed the pattern would repeat.

It has not, and that gap is the point. Keyser's slur was on tape and confirmed. Davis's case is an eight-year-old filing that a court threw out, between two people who were teenagers at the time, and the person who filed it says she is over it. Peacock and producer ITV Entertainment have said nothing about vetting in either direction, which is exactly why fans keep asking in the replies.

For anyone just tuning in: Davis is a 25-year-old model, dancer and nanny from Inglewood who has appeared in music videos for Karol G, DDG and Metro Boomin, and who introduced herself to the country with "You can pipe down, I'm Titi." She is, by all evidence, not a fan of being told to pipe down.

Where it stands

No removal. One dismissed filing. A whole lot of tweets. If Peacock moves on any of that, it is a different article. Until then, the confirmed story is older and smaller than your timeline is selling it as.
